Image
◆BROJECT BRIEF LOCATION:  , the Meiji Shrine entrance to Aoyama-dōri, Shibuya and Minato Ward, Tokyo YEAR: 1919 AREA:  length 1km (163 zelkova trees), Road Width 36.4m PPROGRAMME:  tree-lined avenue DESINGER:   CHARACTERISTICS: 1) seasonal changes every season gives us the different feeling to the street. 2) contrast although the street has a lot of trees as a 'natural' element and densely arranged buildings as an 'artificial' element, they are nicely harmonized each other. It seems the line of trees make themselves artificial.
